Box Score TALLADEGA, Ala. – The Talladega College men's basketball team delivered its most explosive offensive performance of the season Monday night, defeating Point University 105–78 inside the Billy C. Hawkins Student Activity Center. The Tornadoes have now won four straight games and evened their record to 4–4 on the year.
Talladega set the tone early with pace and defensive pressure, racing out to a 45–35 halftime lead behind sharp ball movement, relentless rim attacks, and balanced scoring across the lineup. The Tornadoes never let up after the break, erupting for 60 second-half points and stretching the lead to as many as 27 in the closing minutes.
The Tornadoes' offense was fueled by efficiency and depth. Talladega finished with 41 made field goals and dished out 30 assists while getting 51 points from its bench, overwhelming Point with depth, tempo, and spacing.
Shaun Walker led the way with 20 points and eight rebounds, powering Talladega's interior attack and providing consistent scoring presence in both halves.
Arthur Williams added 15 points, five rebounds, and two blocks, while Kenton Steele finished with 16 points, seven rebounds, and five assists in a strong two-way performance.
Talladega's perimeter game provided a major lift. Kenneth Jenkins, Jr. scored nine points on three three-pointers, Mason Donald added nine points from the outside, and Tre Simmons chipped in eight points, five rebounds, and four assists.
Defensively, Talladega forced 15 turnovers and controlled the glass with 36 rebounds. The Tornadoes turned defense into offense, scoring 22 points off turnovers and dominating the paint with 56 points.
The win marks a major turnaround for Talladega, which has bounced back from an early 0–4 start to build momentum heading into conference play.
Talladega will return to action on Thursday when they host Rust College in a conference matchup inside the Billy C. Hawkins Student Activity Center.
