Talladega College exploded offensively Wednesday night, cruising to a 107-62 HBCUAC conference win inside the Billy Hawkins Student Center.
The Tornadoes set the tone early with a 54-point first half and carried the momentum through the final horn. Talladega finished the night with 33 made field goals, 13 three-pointers, and 28 made free throws.
Arthur Williams powered the attack with 23 points, while Shaun Walker added 21 points and eight rebounds, knocking down four triples. Tre Simmons chipped in 13 points, and Derek Burditt posted a double-double with 12 points and 11 assists as Talladega piled up 23 assists as a team.
The Tornadoes also made their impact felt defensively, forcing 23 turnovers with 17 steals and eight blocks, turning those stops into 25 points off turnovers and 16 fast-break points. Isaiah Mayes gave Talladega a spark off the bench with four steals, and William Ehlen added three steals in the win.
