Talladega College nearly erased an 11-point halftime deficit, but a late push fell just short in an 83-81 road loss to Wilberforce Saturday afternoon.
The Tornadoes trailed 44-33 at the break after committing 11 first-half turnovers, then responded with a strong second half, shooting 17-of-26 from the floor and scoring 48 points after intermission. Talladega took multiple late leads, including 74-73 with 3:59 remaining and 76-74 at the 2:55 mark, before Wilberforce answered at the free-throw line down the stretch.
