HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Talladega College men's golf team recently took 10
th at the William Carey Collegiate Classic.

Tim King's team shot 36-over par, 888, on the par-71, 6,932-yard course. The tournament featured 14 teams. Lindsey Wilson won the event (-10, 842) while Dalton State (-9, 843) and Point University (+4, 856) rounded out the top three schools.
Truett-McConnell was fourth. William Carey, Blue Mountain Christian, Reinhardt, Taylor and Cumberland (TN) were ahead of the Tornadoes. Tennessee Wesleyan, Faulkner, Loyola-New Orleans and the University of Mobile completed the field.
Damil Ataullah garnered a top-20 effort for Talladega. He tied for 18
th after shooting two-over par, 215. Ataullah posted scores of 73-70-72.
Nick Ledbetter finished 26
th after shooting five-over par, 218. He notched scores of 70-75-73 for the 54-hole event.
Payne Stewart tied for 65
th while Izaiah Stewart (67
th) and Gage Miller (t-69
th) were just behind him.
The Tornadoes return to action March 25-26 at the BCMU Spring Classic in West Point, Miss.
