Williams Earns NAIA Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week Honor

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – For his efforts in last week's trip to California for the Talladega men's track and field team, Nastorio Williams was named NAIA Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.

Williams earned the distinction after he hit the NAIA "A" qualifying mark in the 4x100 relay and 100m on the week, winning both at the Cal State LA Twilight. The native of North Andros, Bahamas, posted times of 10.39 in the 100m and 40.85 in the 4x100m.

The national award is the second national recognition for Talladega this season, as Emmanuel Niang earned Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week earlier this year and the 13th overall national weekly around for the Southern States Athletic Conference for the 2022-23 year.
