DECATUR, Ala. - Talladega College will enter this week's six-team HBCU Athletic Conference Softball Championship as the No. 3 seed. The three-day tournament will be played at Wilson Morgan Park in Decatur, Wednesday, April 23 through Friday, April 25. The complex is located at 300 Beltline Road SW, Decatur, AL 35601. Entry is free each day, and all games will be streamed by Urban Edge Network's

The Tornadoes (12-15, 7-8) will meet sixth-seed Voorhees University (6-17, 4-11) in the first game on Field 3 on Wednesday. The winner will then meet No. 2 Dillard University (17-16, 9-6) at 2 p.m., while the loser will move to an elimination bracket on Thursday at noon against the loser of Oakwood University vs Rust College.

Talladega went 7-4 in the month of April, including a pair of wins over Rust and Oakwood, as they prepare to enter the tournament. They logged a win against each conference team except regular season champion Stillman (30-11, 15-0).

Georgia Wagner-Stiles behind the plate. The duo hails from Maple Ridge, British Columbia in Canada. Fellow freshman Sophia McPherson, also of Maple Ridge, is leading the Tornadoes with a .447 batting average through only 14 games played. Mariana Perez (.333),

Mia Vazquez (.313) and Jazmeen Bibbens (.308) are also hitting over .300 for Dega.
