The Talladega College softball team captured a conference series victory over Voorhees University, winning two of three games behind strong pitching performances and timely offense.
After dropping the opening game, the Tornadoes responded with back-to-back wins to take control of the series.
Talladega bounced back in game two with a dominant 7-0 shutout victory. Seminole McShan led the way in the circle, tossing a complete-game shutout while allowing just four hits. She also made an impact at the plate, going 2-for-2 with two runs scored and an RBI.
The Tornadoes built momentum early and continued to apply pressure throughout the game. Yasmin Harmon recorded two hits and drove in a run, while Josie Harshberger and Daysha Montgomery added RBIs. Talladega also took advantage of aggressive baserunning to create scoring opportunities.
In the series finale, Talladega secured the series win with a 6-5 victory behind a strong offensive showing. The Tornadoes recorded 14 hits, highlighted by a big fourth inning that produced four runs.
Josie Harshberger led the offense, going 3-for-4 with two runs scored, while Haylee Clausell added three hits. Aidan Johnson contributed a multi-hit performance, and Yasmin Harmon drove in a run as Talladega continued to apply pressure at the plate.
Despite a late push from Voorhees, Talladega held on to secure the win and the series.
The Tornadoes continue conference play showing resilience, depth, and the ability to respond under pressure.
