OAKVILLE, Ala. - A handful of Talladega athletes competed on Saturday at the Firehawk Invitational, an annual event hosted by the University of Tennessee Southern.
Sophomore Decquan Nesbitt finished as Talladega's top individual on the men's side with a time of 33:32.3, while teammate Isiah Millet crossed the finish line in 35:32.2 just two seconds off a season-best. Junior Jason Ivey II turned in a time of 41:50.6, with
Anthony Gentles rounding out the Talladega group at 53:22.8.
In the women's 6K, sophomore Jewel Cross was the lone competitor for Talladega, producing a time of 30:22.6.
The Dega cross country teams are back in action on Sept. 27 at the Huntingdon College Hawk Invitational in Grady, Alabama.
