Women's Track and Field Holding On To Second After First Day of GCAC Championship

The Talladega Women's Track and Field team sits in second place after the first day of the GCAC Track and Field Championship. With 5 of 18 events completed, the Tornadoes have 35 points, trailing Day 1 leader Dillard by 42, but with plenty of points left to win.

Lamoy Duffus finished second place in the long jump, clearing 5.04 meters, and also finished fourth in the 200m run. Kalena Hall finished fourth in both the discus and javelin throws, earning points in both of her events, as did Elisa Clay in both discus and javelin as well.
                                                                                                                                                         
The second and final day of the GCAC Championship is tomorrow, Saturday, April 20th.
