Talladega JV Secures Strong 95–70 Victory Over SBA Prep

Talladega College's JV men's basketball team put together one of their most complete performances of the season on Saturday, powering past SBA Prep with a 95–70 win inside the Billy Hawkins Student Center.

The Tornadoes exploded for 52 points in the first half, using fast ball movement, defensive pressure, and confident shooting to build a commanding lead. Their ability to force turnovers and turn them into immediate offense set the tone early and created momentum that carried throughout the game.

Kerrick Rideau led all scorers with 30 points, attacking the rim, hitting key threes, and dishing out seven assists while collecting four steals. Amarion Bowers delivered a dominant double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds, controlling the paint and energizing the crowd with powerful finishes. Trenton Smith added 18 points, seven rebounds, and five steals as the Tornadoes continued to push the pace and defend at a high level.

Despite an SBA push in the second half, Talladega responded with resilience, executing in key moments and maintaining composure.

Coach Wilson praised his team's toughness, saying, "This was a big win for the JV team. We withstood the second half run and became resilient down the stretch against a tough SBA Prep basketball team."

The JV Tornadoes continue to show growth, balance, and chemistry as they push forward into the heart of their season.
