Talladega College JV Earns First Home Victory with A Win Over Stillman JV

The Talladega College JV Men's Basketball team captured its first home victory of the season, defeating Stillman College JV 78–69 on Wednesday night inside the Billy C. Hawkins Student Center. The Tornadoes came out strong, taking a 44–24 lead into halftime and holding off a late Stillman rally to seal the win in front of an energetic home crowd of over 200 fans.

Trenton Smith led the way with 18 points, connecting on two three-pointers and going 2-for-2 from the free-throw line. Zeke Graddick added 12 points and five rebounds, while Amarion Bowens turned in another strong all-around performance with 11 points and 11 rebounds, marking his first double-double of the season.

Off the bench, Tyshawn Bowers and Jordan Robereson provided a spark, combining for 18 points. Bowers contributed nine points and three boards, while Robereson added nine points, including three from beyond the arc. Jeremiah Turner anchored the backcourt with 10 points, six assists, and three steals.

The Tornadoes' defensive pressure forced Stillman into 12 turnovers while converting 11 steals and three blocks on the night. Talladega also dominated the glass with a 41–33 rebounding advantage and scored 19 second-chance points.

Talladega improves to 2–2 on the season with the win. Head Coach TeeJay Wilson praised his team's balance and energy: "Our guys came out ready to play in front of the home crowd. We shared the ball well and showed great effort on both ends of the floor. I'm proud of the way they responded."

The Tornadoes will look to keep their momentum going as they prepare to face Christian Community College on Monday at 6:00 p.m.
