On Wednesday, October 29th, the Talladega College Men's Soccer Team wrapped up their regular season in strong fashion, earning a hard-fought
3–1 win on the road against Oakwood University.
From the opening whistle, Talladega controlled much of the possession and dictated the pace of play. Their early dominance paid off when Saeed Charles opened the scoring midway through the first half, giving the Tornadoes a well-deserved lead. However, Oakwood quickly responded, capitalizing on a foul to level the score.
Both teams continued to battle intensely, each pushing to gain the upper hand. Talladega broke through once again before halftime, as Jared Smeins found the back of the net off a precise assist from Allen Antah, sending the Tornadoes into the break with a 2–1 advantage.
Determined to seal the win, Talladega came out in the second half with renewed energy and focus. The Tornadoes created several scoring opportunities before Allen Antah extended the lead with a third goal, assisted by Jalen Smeins. The defense held firm for the remainder of the match, securing a confident 3–1 victory.
This win marks the conclusion of the regular season for the Talladega College Men's Soccer Team. With strong performances throughout the campaign, the Tornadoes will now turn their attention to the playoffs next week, looking to make a statement and continue their momentum into postseason play.
