LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Talladega men's soccer team delivered its fourth consecutive clean sheet on Thursday night, defeating Florida College 1-0. The Tornadoes have now outscored opponents 23-0 dating back to September 15 and have improved to 2-0 in CAC play.
The two teams went to the locker room at half with no score, but Talladega was able to break through in the 73rd minute.
Malachai Daniel connected with
Tyrike Andrews for his second goal of the year, and the lone score held up for the duration of the night.
The Tornadoes outshot the Falcons 23-5, including a 15-1 mark in shots on frame.
Ivroy Smith needed just one save between the posts for the victory, while Florida College's Filip Borka racked up a season-high 14 saves.
Talladega is back in action on Saturday, when they take on Georgia Gwinnett. Opening whistle is slated for 1:00 p.m. from Lawrenceville.
