Talladega Shows Grit in Second Half Against Dalton State

Talladega College vs Dalton State

Box Score The Talladega College women's soccer team faced off against Dalton State on September 12 in a challenging home matchup. From the opening whistle, Dalton State pressed forward with intensity, testing Talladega's defense and forcing the Tornadoes to play on their heels. The Tornadoes struggled early, conceding possession and being outshot 10–2 in the opening half, with only one attempt finding the frame. While, Dalton State capitalized on the early momentum.

After the break, Talladega responded with better organization and urgency. The Tornadoes generated 5 second-half shots, including 3 on target, and earned 4 corner kicks while limiting Dalton State's chances. Goalkeeper Alyssa Johnson support was also key, with 7 saves helping keep the team in the match. Even though the scoreline didn't swing in their favor, the team displayed the grit and determination that has been their hallmark throughout the season.

Talladega may not have looked like the same side from their last three outings in the opening half, but the improved second-half effort demonstrated their potential to bounce back. With time to regroup and refocus, the Tornadoes now set their sights on their next matchup, scheduled for September 26.
