Talladega College Welcomes Christy Gindhart as New Athletic Trainer

Talladega College is proud to announce the addition of Christy Gindhart as the new athletic trainer for its athletic programs.

Gindhart brings a decade of experience in the athletic training profession. A native of the Philadelphia area, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Penn State University before completing her Master of Education in Exercise Science at Auburn University, with concentrations in motor behavior and sports psychology.

Her career includes work at La Salle University in Philadelphia, Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO), and experience at the high school level, where she supported student-athletes' health, rehabilitation, and performance.

"We are excited to have Ms. Gindhart a part of our athletic department," said Athletic Director Andre Payne. "She brings a tremendous amount of experience in her area. Her role is vital to keeping our student-athletes healthy."

"I've always trusted my gut when it comes to jobs, and the minute I stepped on Talladega's campus, it felt like home," Gindhart said. "The hospitality shown to me by people like Ivi Wilson and Emily Hight made me feel welcomed, and I knew this was the place that I wanted to work."

Gindhart is recently engaged to Connor Martel and resides in Sylacauga, Alabama, with their three dogs.
