MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Autumn Wyatt netted the first goal in program history against NCAA Division I foe Alabama State University to give Talladega College a 1-0 first-half lead Friday night. While Tornadoes' goalkeeper Natalie Need swatted away the Hornets for 75% of the match, ASU scored three goals in the final 30 minutes to secure a 3-1 victory.

Alabama State attacked early with 11 shots to Talladega's two. Need secured four saves in the first 20 minutes of action. Annalisa Vincent and Ana Santos helped increase Talladega's attack in the next 15 minutes. After Vincent's shot on frame was saved by ASU keeper Kailyn Roselli in the 34th minute, Vincent assisted Wyatt in the 35th minute for her third goal of the season.

A swarm of shots on goal in the 65th to 68th minutes of play helped set up Rachel Mull's first goal in the 69th minute, tying the game, 1-1. 

Vincent's game-tying attempt in the 82nd minute, setting up an immediate response by Alabama State for Mull to nail the go-ahead goal, 2-1. In the 85th minute, Mull completed her hat trick to stretch Alabama State to a 3-1 cushion. It was the last attack of the game for either team. 

Mull led all players with seven shots, scoring all three attempts on goal. Santos and Vincent each had four shots for Talladega, with Vincent placing three on frame. Gabrielle Bryan had two shots for the Tornadoes, while Wyatt and Cycoiah Wattley each had one shot.

Need finished with seven saves in her 90 minutes against NCAA Division I action. 

Talladega (1-2) is scheduled to travel to Thomas University in Thomasville, Georgia on Thursday, Sept. 5 at 2 p.m. EDT.
