MOBILE, Ala. – The offensive attack could never really get going for the Talladega College volleyball team as the Tornadoes fell in straight sets Friday night to the University of Mobile Rams in the H. Austill Pharr Gymnasium.
Mobile (25-13, 25-16, 25-13) improved to 14-5 on the season and 6-1 in Southern Sports Athletic Conference action while Talladega fell to 8-8 overall and 2-5 in the SSAC.
Nedu Evans finished with a team high six kills while Tinah Sanders and
Kennedy Freeman both claimed four kills each.
Raven Clater passed 11 assists. As a team, the Tornadoes posted a .038 attack percentage against the tough Rams defense.
Abby Andrews came away with 11 kills to lead the Rams attack that amassed a .358 percentage against the Talladega College defense. Tatum Beech finished with 17 assists and Layton Adams posted 15 assists in the balanced effort from the two setters.
The Tornadoes return to action tomorrow at 1 p.m. in another SSAC matchup, this time against the Faulkner University Eagles at the Tine W. Davis Gymnasium. Fans will be able to
