TALLADEGA FALLS IN ROAD OPENER AT MOBILE

MOBILE, Ala. – The first match away from home for the Talladega College women's soccer team went in favor of the University of Mobile Rams as the Tornadoes fell 12-0 in the Jungle Saturday afternoon.
 
The loss dropped Talladega to 0-2 overall and now 0-1 in the Southern States Athletic Conference while Mobile improved to 5-2-2 on the season and 1-0 in the SSAC.
Monet Brown collected 11 saves in her first start of the season while facing 23 shots from the high-powered Ram offense.

Ashlyn Broussard and Olivia Quiroz both scored two goals each to lead Mobile, which were the first two goals of the season for both players.

The Tornadoes will look to regroup as they step out of SSAC competition on Sept. 26 for a road matchup against Mississippi University for Women which is set for a 5 p.m. start in Columbus, Mississippi. After that, Talladega will host Tougaloo College on Sept. 29 at 2 p.m. which will serve as the final non-conference match for the squad.
