Talladega, AL - Talladega College Soccer Coach, Joseph Tibbs, has over ten years of coaching experience and has worked with some of college soccer's most knowledgeable coaches. As a result of his hard work, skill, and networking over the years, Tibbs was handpicked as an attendee of the annual Coaches Summit at Florida State University on March 2nd, 2020. He was among the select few college coaches that were asked to represent the University of Wyoming, University of West Alabama, Georgia Southern University, Life University, and Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University. 

Florida State University is one of the elite college soccer programs in the nation, having won the NCAA Division I National Championship in 2014 and 2018. In addition, the Seminoles have claimed 6 ACC Conference Championships in program history. Their success is what makes their annual summit, hosted by their soccer staff, such a valuable event to be selected for. 

The itinerary consisted of various presentations from the soccer staff of Florida State University. Many topics, such as Periodization of Training, Player Development, Leadership Development, Strength & Conditioning, and Game Analytics were covered. The coaches were also given a tour of the Stiles and Smith Team Building - home of the Florida State University Soccer team. The event was concluded with an observation session of team training by Mark Krikorian and his staff.

Coach Joseph Tibbs expressed his gratitude for being selected to attend this event. "I am truly grateful for the invitation from Coach Kriokrian to visit Florida State. I gained so much insight from him and his staff on how they have built a culture of excellence." In addition, the exchange of ideas from the institutions represented was extremely rewarding. I look forward to attending this event again next year." Tibbs noted. 

Coach Tibbs has been successful throughout his career, yet he continues to humbly look for more ways to expand and improve. He truly believes in building a culture of excellence, as Talladega College promotes. Attending the Florida State University Coaches Summit of 2020 was a memorable experience for Tibbs, and he will continue to work hard for more opportunities and continue to improve the Talladega College soccer programs.
