Talladega, AL - The official website of the Tornadoes Soccer Academy (TSA) has been released! TSA's Academy Director is Talladega College's very own Joseph Tibbs - Head Men's and Women's Soccer Coach. The organization's website features upcoming events such as the Spring Break Camps and Spring ID Clinics that are offered. Led by Talladega College's soccer coaching staff and players, these camps are a great way for youth in Talladega and the surrounding area to stay soccer sharp!
The two Spring Break camps offered run from March 23rd - 26th, 2020 & April 13th - 16th, 2020. In these camps, youth ages 6 -14 will be led by coaching staff and players of Talladega College. Participating in these camps is a great way for recreational and competitive players to spend their break. Soccer activities will be age appropriate and lots of fun games will be offered!
The Spring ID camps are offered from April 25th - 26th, 2020 & May 2nd - 3rd, 2020. These events are tailored to players ages 14 - 20 with a focus on advanced technical development. An appropriate emphasis will be placed on individual, group (positional) and team tactical development based on skill level, experience and age of the player.
Technical topics such as dribbling, passing & receiving, juggling and finishing will be addressed. Tactical field sessions will be focused on positional play, awareness and reading the game, speed of play, movement off the ball and combination play in the middle and attacking thirds of the field.
