Talladega College opened conference play with a strong showing on the road, winning the first two games of a three-game series against Stillman College before the finale was halted by weather in the seventh inning.
The Tornadoes took the series opener on March 5 with an 11–5 victory at Tiger Field in Tuscaloosa. Talladega used timely hitting and aggressive base running to build momentum early. The Tornadoes plated two runs in the first inning and added two more in the third before breaking the game open with a three-run fourth inning. Talladega finished the contest with 11 runs on nine hits while also swiping six bases to pressure the Stillman defense.
Joshua Catala Santos scored three runs to help lead the offense, while Yoangel Ramos recorded two hits and two RBIs. Armando Jackson added a double and drove in two runs, and Manuel Martinez chipped in two hits and an RBI as Talladega steadily extended its lead throughout the game. On the mound, the Tornado pitching staff limited Stillman to five runs while striking out eight batters across nine innings.
Talladega carried that momentum into the second game of the series on March 6, securing a 9–6 win in the seven-inning contest. The Tornadoes again jumped out early with two runs in the opening inning and never relinquished control. Talladega produced nine runs on nine hits while drawing five walks to keep the pressure on the Tigers' pitching staff.
Victor Rivera sparked the offense with two hits, three runs scored, and an RBI, while Jackson delivered a key home run and finished with two RBIs. Ramos also had a strong performance at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Adrian Epps contributed an RBI single as the Tornado lineup continued to produce throughout the game.
The final game of the series proved to be a battle between the two teams. With the score tied 9-9 in the bottom of the seventh inning, heavy rain forced officials to suspend the contest. The game will resume on April 18, when the teams will complete the remaining innings to determine the final result.
With the two victories, Talladega secured the conference series win and improved its momentum heading deeper into conference play.
