Talladega College baseball completed a three-game conference sweep over Voorhees University this weekend at home, using explosive offense across the series to secure the victories.
The Tornadoes opened the series Friday with a 13–4 win. Voorhees jumped out early with runs in the first two innings, but Talladega responded with a strong offensive showing, recording eight hits while taking advantage of walks and defensive miscues to pull away for the win.
In the second game of Friday's doubleheader, Talladega held off a late push from Voorhees to earn a 13–10 victory. The Tornadoes produced 11 hits and scored in multiple innings to maintain the lead in the high-scoring contest and secure the series win.
Talladega completed the sweep on Saturday with its most productive offensive performance of the weekend, defeating Voorhees 18–8. The Tornadoes totaled 13 hits and capitalized on walks and errors to break the game open and seal the series sweep.
Across the three games, Talladega combined for 37 runs and 32 hits, consistently applying pressure at the plate while taking advantage of scoring opportunities throughout the weekend.
With the sweep, the Tornadoes continue conference play with momentum as the HBCUAC schedule progresses.
