The Tornadoes opened the series Friday with a 13–4 win. Voorhees jumped out early with runs in the first two innings, but Talladega responded with a strong offensive showing, recording eight hits while taking advantage of walks and defensive miscues to pull away for the win.

In the second game of Friday's doubleheader, Talladega held off a late push from Voorhees to earn a 13–10 victory. The Tornadoes produced 11 hits and scored in multiple innings to maintain the lead in the high-scoring contest and secure the series win.
