The Talladega College Tornadoes used a strong second half to earn a 74–63 victory over Tougaloo College on Monday night inside the Dr. Billy C. Hawkins Student Activity Center.
Talladega scored 20 points in the opening quarter before Tougaloo closed the gap in the second. The Tornadoes regained control after halftime, erupting for 25 points in the third quarter and following with 23 more in the fourth to pull away.
Ceara Myers led all scorers with 29 points as Talladega finished with 19 assists and consistent production across the lineup. The Tornadoes maintained defensive pressure and converted key possessions late to seal the win.
Talladega continues play later this week as the Tornadoes carry momentum forward.
