The Talladega College women's basketball team earned an 87–75 conference victory over Wilberforce University on Monday night, using balanced scoring and strong execution to defend home court.
Talladega placed four players in double figures, led by Ceara Myers, who recorded a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Alyah Postma followed with 17 points, while Kameron Jones added 13. Courtney Lowe contributed 11 points to give the Tornadoes consistent scoring throughout the lineup.
Teanna Watts added nine points, just missing double figures, as Talladega continued to apply offensive pressure from multiple positions.
The Tornadoes moved the ball well throughout the game, creating quality looks in both transition and the half court. Talladega's ability to spread the scoring kept Wilberforce from keying in on any one player.
Down the stretch, the Tornadoes controlled the tempo and converted at the free-throw line while making timely defensive stops to secure the 12-point conference victory.
With the win, Talladega continues to build momentum in HBCUAC play as the Tornadoes move deeper into conference competition.
