OXFORD, Ala. - Talladega College rallied back from a 2-0 deficit in the second inning to defeat Oakwood University, 5-2, on Monday and win its first HBCU Athletic Conference series of the season.

Winning pitcher Sofi Wagner-Stiles helped herself out from the plate, with an RBI single to drive in the Tornadoes' first run of the game in the bottom of the second inning. She later scored the tying run on a Sophia McPhie double to left centerfield. 

In the third inning, Sarah Couey delivered a bases-loaded, two-out double to drive in three runs in what proved to be the winning at bat for the day.

Wagner-Stiles pitched the complete game, allowing five hits and two runs for her first conference victory in the circle. At the plate, she hit 1-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored. Miami Burton hit 2-for-3 with two runs scored and McPhie was also 2-for-3 at the plate.

Talladega (4-14, 2-4 HBCUAC) will host Dillard University this weekend, March 22-23.
