Talladega College showed grit and resilience Thursday evening inside the Billy C. Hawkins Student Activity Center, battling through a tough first half before finding their rhythm late in the game. After falling behind early, the Lady Tornadoes regrouped and delivered a strong second-half push, scoring 20 points in the third quarter and 21 in the fourth to close the gap.

Olympia Chaney helped spark the comeback effort, finishing with 16 points and knocking down three big three-pointers. Teanna Watts led Talladega with an all-around standout performance, 20 points, five rebounds, five assists, and three steals, as she continued to be a key playmaker on both ends of the floor. Kameron Jones added eight points and five rebounds, while Kiersten Usher contributed five points, five rebounds, and two steals, giving Talladega strong energy in the backcourt.

Despite trailing early, Talladega tightened up defensively and moved the ball more efficiently in the second half, showing poise and determination as the momentum began to swing their way. Their aggressive play and renewed intensity allowed them to outscore their opponent over the final two quarters.

The Lady Tornadoes now shift their attention to Saturday's road matchup against Fisk University, where they will aim to carry their second-half momentum into a strong bounce-back performance.
