Box Score The Talladega College Lady Tornadoes kicked off their 2025–2026 season with a commanding 82–44 victory over Point University on Thursday evening in West Point, Georgia.
Under the leadership of Head Coach Andre Payne and Assistant Coach Aleah Myers, the Lady Tornadoes controlled the game from start to finish. Talladega opened strong, outscoring Point 23–11 in the first quarter and never looked back. Their defensive pressure was relentless, forcing 32 turnovers and scoring 35 points off those miscues, while holding Point to just 28% shooting from the field.
The Lady Tornadoes displayed a balanced offensive attack with several players contributing double-digit performances. Junior forward Ceara Myers led the way with 15 points, six rebounds, and three steals, while junior guard Kiersten Usher added 13 points, three steals, and two assists. Olympia Chaney sparked the offense with 12 points, including three from beyond the arc. Teanna Watts also had an efficient outing, going 5-for-5 from the field for 10 points, while Courtney Lowe chipped in nine points and three steals.
Talladega's bench was a major factor, contributing 43 of the team's 82 points, showcasing the depth and versatility of this year's roster.

The Lady Tornadoes improved to 1-0 on the season and will look to build on their momentum as they prepare for their next matchup — a home game on October 28 against Truett McConnell University at 5:00 p.m.
