Shalom Akinbulumo broke the long-standing tie at the 52-minute mark with an assist from Christian Sanchez to give Shorter the 1-0 lead.

The Hawks added a second goal in the 62nd minute off the foot of Miguel Souza to go up 2-0 in the road contest.
