Women’s Soccer Suffers 1-0 Loss to Spring Hill

TALLADEGA, Ala. – One first half goal was all the difference for the Talladega College women's soccer team who dropped a 1-0 decision to the Spring Hill College Badgers Saturday evening.
 
The game deciding goal came in the 37th minute when Hailey Blanott found the back of the net. From there, the match devolved into a battle of defensive might between the Badgers and Tornadoes.
 
Annalisa Vincent posted three shots, while Autumn Wyatt, Gabrielle Bryan, and Ana Santos all registered a shot on goal.
 
SHC outshot Dega 9-8 and posted five shots on goal compared to just three for the Tornadoes.
 
Natalie Need spent all 90 minutes in the goal and finished with four saves and the single goal allowed.
 
Talladega College returns to action Oct. 4 against Florida National. The Monday, Sept. 30 game against Wilberforce University has been canceled.
