Men’s Soccer Battles to Scoreless Tie with Pensacola Christian

TALLADEGA, Ala. – In a contest that featured just 11 combined shots, the Talladega College men's soccer team and the Pensacola Christian College Eagles finished regulation with a 0-0 tie Thursday afternoon.
 
The Eagles registered seven shots with four on goal, while the Tornadoes took four shots and tallied two SOGs.
 
Tavar Lawrence posted two shots, but Allen Antah and Joel Wilson each posted a shot on goal for Dega.
 
Ivory Smith spent all 90 minutes of action at goalkeeper and posted four saves to keep PCC off the scoreboard.
 
Today's contest marks the first tie for the program since Aug. 26, 2023, where the Tornadoes and Freed-Hardeman posted a 1-1 tie. This is the first scoreless tie for Talladega since a 0-0 decision at Trinity College on Sept. 2, 2021.
 
Talladega College (1-3-2) returns to action Saturday at 2 p.m. against the United States Sports Academy.
