Talladega College is proud to announce the appointment of Terry Gaitor as the new Head Track and Field Coach. Gaitor brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success to the Tornadoes, and his arrival marks the beginning of a new era for the college's track and field program.
A native of Miami, Florida, Gaitor earned his bachelor's degree in sports business management from Webber International University. He was a two-year letter winner in track & field at WIU and is currently pursuing a master's Degree in Organizational Leadership from Nelson University.
With over seven years of coaching experience, Coach Gaitor has established himself as a dynamic leader in the field of athletics. His previous tenures include Assistant Track & Field and Cross Country Coach at the University of Maine at Presque Isle, Assistant Track & Field Coach at Oakland City University, and Head Track & Field Coach at Southern Assembly of God University.Â
"I'm excited to have Coach Gaitor join Talladega College Athletics because he brings a lot of experience in the track and field world. I'm looking forward to a healthy, fun, and exciting season, starting with cross country, then indoor, and finishing the year with outdoor track and field," stated Loretta Martin, Talladega College athletic director. Â
Coach Gaitor's coaching philosophy emphasizes discipline, teamwork, and personal growth. He is dedicated to not only developing top-tier athletes but also mentoring students to achieve their academic and personal goals. His holistic approach to coaching ensures that student-athletes at Talladega College will excel in all aspects of their college experience.

Coach Gaitor is set to begin his duties immediately, with plans to assess the current roster, meet with athletes, and begin preparations for the upcoming season. The Talladega College community eagerly anticipates the positive impact he will have on the track and field program.Â
