Women’s Soccer Falls in Opener to Mobile

TALLADEGA, Ala. – The 2024 season is underway for the Talladega College Women's Soccer team, who opened with a 3-0 loss to the University of Mobile Rams at home Saturday afternoon.
 
All three goals came in the first 45 minutes of action, starting with a goal from the Rams' Jil Hellerforth with an assist by Olivia Quiroz at 3:56 on the clock.

Raegan Latiolais scored her first goal of the year at 10:34 on an assist from Hellerforth to put Mobile up 2-0. Skylar Bennett rounded out the scoring at 31:53 off an unassisted goal to push the lead to the 3-0 final tally.
 
Annalisa Vincent led the Tornadoes with four shots and three shots on goal. Ana Santos registered a shot. Natalie Need spent all 90 minutes in the goal and saved eight shots against Mobile's 11 shots on goal.
 
The Rams finished with 12 total shots compared to four for Dega, while Ebba Elweroth grabbed three saves for the visitors.
 
The Talladega College Tornadoes return to action on Aug. 22 against Point University in West Point, Georgia at 4 p.m.
