OXFORD, Ala. – While the first game of the day did not go as planned, the Talladega College softball team salvaged a doubleheader split against the Crowley's Ridge College Lady Pioneers Monday afternoon in Choccolocco Park. CRC won the first game 10-0 in five innings, while the Tornadoes grabbed a 6-3 win in the second matchup.

GAME 1 – Crowley's Ridge 10, Talladega 0 (5 innings)

CRC (6-6) jumped out early when Piper Farmer smacked a sacrifice fly to right field. The Lady Pioneers added two runs in the second and one in the third before turning on the heat in the fifth inning with six runs, capped by a two-RBI single from Dru Bryant to push to the 10-0 final score.

Rayna Davis managed the lone hit for the Tornadoes (5-13) with a 1-for-2 effort at the plate.
