Men’s Soccer Wraps Regular Season with Tie against USSA

FAIRHOPE, Ala. – On the road to close the regular season, the Talladega College men's soccer team battled to a 1-1 draw against the United States Sports Academy Eagles Thursday evening at the Fairhope Soccer Complex.
 
The first 45 minutes were quiet for both teams before Tavar Lawrence broke the silence in the 47th minute with his 12th goal of the season on an assist from Allen Antah.
 
Working to avoid the shutout, Ramses Martinez posted his first score of the season with an assist from Jaidan Workman in the 68th minute to force the 1-1 tie, which held until the final buzzer.
 
Talladega (4-5-3) outshot USSA 17-10; however, both teams finished with six shots on goal.
 
Lawrence posted five shots and three SOGs to lead the squad, while Romario Tomlinson added four shots with one on goal. Leonard Richardson spent all 909 minutes in goal and captured five saves against one goal allowed.
