THOMASVILLE, Ga. - Talladega College women's soccer rallied late Tuesday, but was unable to neutralize Thomas University in a 5-4 loss on the road.

Thomas claimed a 4-0 lead in the first 17 minutes of action before
Annalisa Vincent scored Talladega's first goal in the 44th minute to make it 4-1 at halftime. The Tornadoes out-scored the Nighthawks 3-1 in the second half. Cycoiah Watley scored off a Vincent assist in the 55th minute to cut the difference in half, but Kaitlyn Herb scored her second goal of the game for Thomas to keep her team's four-goal lead. Watley netted an unassisted goal in the 61st minute, and
Hasha Holder assisted a
Gabrielle Bryan goal. in the 79th minute to pull the Tornadoes within a goal.

Natalie Need saved a shot in the 82nd minute for her eighth and final save of the night. Talladega had one last attempt in the final minutes, but Watley's game-tying attempt missed wide left with less than four minutes to play.

Emily Lamoreaux had five saves for Thomas in the first half. Niamh Cuzons and Kennedi Warren-Young split time in the goal in the second half with Cuzons having one save. Elisebeth Anderson, Kaitlyn Herb, Sasha Manders and Ali Baca each scored one goal for Thomas, while Herb finished with two goals and one assist.

Talladega (3-6) will host Spartanburg Methodist on Friday at 2 p.m. before traveling to Flowood, Miss., on Saturday for a neutral site game against Wiley University at 1 p.m.
