NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Today, the Talladega College women's volleyball team defeated Philander Smith College 3-0 (25-16, 25-12, 25-13) in Nashville, Tennessee to extend its winning streak to four games. The Tornadoes improved to 12-6 on the season.
As a team, Talladega hit .276 as a team with a set-high .297 in set one. Nedu paced all Talladega players with a .583 hitting percentage for the match.
Prettie Zyaire Garrit led Talladega in kills with 11 while hitting .296.
The Tornadoes has three players record double-digits in assists with
Giovana Costarelli finishing with a team-high 14. Teammates
Dominique Madarang and
Nuria Santos each had 10 assists.
Briyith Echeverri tallied 17 of the team's 58 digs for the match.
