MOBILE, Ala. – The Talladega College women's soccer fell 2-0 on the road to the University of Mobile this afternoon. With the loss, the Tornadoes drop to 0-3 on the season while the Rams move to 3-1 on the year.
The opening half saw the same for the second straight night as both teams went scoreless for the first 45 minutes. Talladega's Faith Alexander put the first shot on goal at 10:54 for either team coming off a Mobile foul. The Rams followed up with three shots but the Tornado defense forced the shots high, and wide and blocked one of them. Nine minutes after Talladega put its first shot on goal, Jenally Barco placed the team's second shot on goal. Mobile placed four shots on goal in the half.
The Rams in the second half found the net twice to take a 2-0 lead and hold off Talladega to go on to secure the win.
Goalie Natalie Need stopped four shots on goal for the Tornadoes.
Talladega is home on Tuesday, September 5 at 4 p.m. when it hosts Life University.
