MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Talladega College women's soccer team fell 4-0 on the road to Alabama State University on Thursday night. The Tornadoes fall to 0-2-0 on the season while the Lady Hornets improve to 1-3-1 on the year.
Talladega for the first 45 minutes held last season's SWAC Champions scoreless going into halftime. The Tornadoes' defense didn't falter as it faced 17 shots with seven of them being on goal in the half. Autman Wyatt and Camila Parada were able to get shots off for Talladega with Wyatt's shot being on goal.
Alabama State after a scoreless first-half found the back of the net four times in the second half as six of the 23 shots were on goal. Wyatt was able to penetrate the Lady Hornet defense as she was able to get two shots on goal to finish the night with three shots all on goal.
Talladega goalie Natalie Need finished the game with 13 saves.
The Tornadoes are back in action this Friday at 4 p.m. as they travel to the University of Mobile.
