Tornadoes Dominant in Road Win over Stillman

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Talladega College volleyball team had an answer for everything the Stillman College Tigers tried as the Tornadoes cruised to a straight set victory, 3-0, Friday evening in Birthright Alumni Hall in Southern Sports Athletic Conference competition. 
 
The Tornadoes (25-12, 25-5, 25-7) improved to 13-14 on the season and 5-10 in the SSAC. Stillman fell to 1-15 overall and 1-13 in the conference. 
 
Dega's offense hummed to a .578 attack percentage and included 19 service aces. 
 
Nedu Evans led the way with eight kills and a staggering .889 hitting percentage. Mahalynn Sawyer finished second on the team with seven kills. Raven Clater passed nine assists while Maloree Calzadillas added six assists, Dominique Madarang had five assists and Kenya Glenn added three. 
 
Madaring and Clater both added five service aces each and Sawyer came right behind them with four aces. 
 
Glenn led the back row far and away with nine digs while Mia Sterling led the front row with three total blocks. Evans had two block assists and Josephine Gates posted a solo block and a block assist. 
 
Talladega will now turn its attention to Blue Mountain College for another SSAC matchup. The Lady Toppers currently possess a 26-2 overall record and are in first place in the conference with a 14-1 mark in league play. Links to live stats and live video are available on talladegatornadoes.com.
