The Talladega College women's basketball team capped off a strong weekend on the road with a 64–39 conference victory over Voorhees University on Saturday followed by a 64–37 non-conference win at Morris on Sunday.
Talladega used a dominant second half to pull away from Voorhees, erupting for 26 third-quarter points to create separation. The Lady Tornadoes outscored the Tigers 46–23 over the final two quarters and forced 32 turnovers in the win. Teanna Watts recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Ceara Myers added 13 points and Olympia Chaney finished with 12.
The momentum carried into Sunday's matchup at Morris, where Talladega delivered one of its strongest defensive performances of the season. The Lady Tornadoes held Morris to 37 total points and controlled the paint throughout the contest. Watts led all scorers with 27 points, and Chaney added 13. La'Daja Caldwell provided a strong presence on the glass with 10 rebounds.
Talladega combined for 128 points over the two games while limiting its opponents to 76, showcasing balanced scoring, defensive intensity, and interior dominance throughout the weekend road trip.
The Lady Tornadoes return home with momentum as the regular season enters its final stretch.
