Talladega finishes second in three team contest at Newberry

The Talladega acrobatics and tumbling team placed second in a competition at Newberry College.
The Talladega College acrobatics and tumbling team finished second among three competitors in its third event of the season Friday, hosted by Newberry College in Newberry, SC. The Tornadoes earned 194.295 points, their second most of the season. Emmanuel College triumphed with a tally of 224.850, while Newberry finished third.

Talladega's event scores were: 27.85 in Compulsory, 20.85 in Acro, 26.25 in Pyramid, 22.90 in Toss and 40.525 in Tumbling. The Tornadoes' best individual group scores came in Aerial Pass Tumbling (9.550)-the highest mark of the day among the three teams-Inversion Pyramid (8.85), Synchronized Pyramid (8.80) and Open Pyramid (8.60).

Talladega is back in action next Saturday, April 5, when it visits Presbyterian College. The Tornadoes will then finish out their third regular season in program history at the University of Montevallo on April 10.
