Both teams went back and forth to find themselves tied twice with the last time being at 11. Fisk (4-9, 2-2) used an 11-0 run to break the tie and take a 22-11 with just a little over six minutes remaining. Talladega chipped away the lead but trailed 36-23 going into the locker.

Talladega's Shaun Walker got the scoring starting in the second half with a layup to cut the lead to 11.  The Tornadoes put together a 15-4 run to trim the lead to 42-40 with just over 11 minutes left in the game. The Tornadoes shot 40% (22 of 55) from the floor while shooting 35/3% (6 of 17) from three-point range.

Both teams were evenly matched on the glass but Talladega held the edge 38 to 33.
