TALLADEGA, Ala. –
Jenally Barco netted all three goals for Talladega in the 3-0 victory over Mississippi University of Women Wednesday evening.
The Tornadoes are now 2-5 on the season after picking up back-to-back victories.
Need saved the first shot of the match in the seventh minute of action. At the 10:01 mark, Barco buried a shot for what turned out to be the game-winning goal.
In all, Talladega registered eight shots in the first half.
A mere 2:17 into the second half, Barco extended the working margin with her second goal of the match. After Annalise Vincent recorded a shot that narrowly missed the frame at the 49:49 mark.
In the 68
th minute, Barco recorded her third goal of the evening for a hat trick, which proved to be more than enough in the victory.
For the match, Barco connected on all three shots with goals. Vincent totaled eight shots, including five on frame.
Natalie Need played 84:37 while
Marva Herman saw 5:23 in the match between the pipes. Need accounted for eight saves in the win.
Talladega tallied 14 shots, including nine on goal in the win.
