TALLADEGA, Ala. – The Talladega College men's soccer team fell 3-0 this afternoon to visiting Cumberland University. With the loss, the Tornadoes fell to 0-2-1 on the season while Phoenix improved to 3-2-1.
Talladega was able to get a pair of shots off that went high and wide right following a pair of corner kicks in the opening half before Cumberland was able to find the back of the net at 13:43 to go up 1-0. The Phoenix scored their second goal of the half 12 minutes and 11 seconds after scoring their first goal to go into halftime up, 2-0.
Cumberland had three shots go wide and high of the goal to open the second half. The Tornadoes were able to put back-to-back shots on goal before the Phoenix tacked on their third goal of the game in the 78th minute pushing the lead to 3-0 and holding on for the win.

The Tornadoes are back in action on Friday, September 15 at 4 p.m. when they travel to Oakwood University
