NEW ORLEANS - Thursday evening, the Talladega College Dance team headed south for the 2023 Battle in the Big Easy, hosted by Xavier University (La.). The event featured six competitive dance squads who competed in two duals and two triangulars.

Talladega competed in the two triangulars, which opened an dclosed the dance portion of the festivities. The Tornadoes posted scores of 30.86 in the first triangular against Montreat College (N.C.) and Dillard University (La.), and in the second triangular they faced Montreat and Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) and scored 33.76 points.

The Tornadoes will return to action on the weekend of February 24 and 25 in New Orleans again. That weekend, they will take part in the Loyola University (La.) Invitational on Friday, and the Southern States Athletic Conference Dance Championships on Saturday.
