Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

First-Half Goals Lift USCB over Dega

TALLADEGA, Ala. – Three goals in the first 45 minutes proved the difference as the Talladega College women's soccer team fell at home to the University of South Carolina-Beauford Sand Sharks, 3-0.
 
The NCAA Division II opponent scored the first goal at the 20:46 mark when Mari Kalvatn scored with assists from Synne Bye-Andersen and Savanna Page. Just under nine minutes later, Page found the back of the net with a second assist on the day courtesy of Bye-Andersen.
 
Krisitin Beltestad registered the day's final score at the 34:40 mark with an assist by Kalvatn on the way to the 3-0 road win. 
 
Annalisa Vincent paced Dega with six total shots, four of which were shots on goal. Hasha Holder took three shots and a SOG, while Jenally Barco posted two shots and one SOG.
 
Deekola Chester finished the afternoon with eight saves in her contest in the net. 
 
Briana Raffa did not score but led USCB with four shots and three shots on goal. Graysen Asher started the match as the goalkeeper and tallied four saves. Emily Worrell played the second 45 minutes and collected a pair of stops. 
 
Talladega College has some time off before returning to action on Thursday, Oct. 12, against Florida College at the Multipurpose Field at home.
