Wattley Scores Two in Home Win over Point

TALLADEGA, Ala. – Cycoiah Wattley scored two goals to provide enough padding for Talladega College women's soccer team to grab a 2-0 victory over the Point University Skyhawks Tuesday evening at the Multipurpose Field.

Wattley, a freshman out of Shoal Bay, Anguilla, scored her first goal with an assist by Annalisa Vincent 12:17 into the match. The forward found the back of the net for the second time at the 53-minute mark, and Autumn Wyatt assisted on the play to reach the 2-0 final.

Vincent led with five shots and registered two shots on goal, while Wyatt added three shots. Natalie Nedd tallied five saves.

Dega (4-7-1) outshot the Skyhawks as a unit, 13-9, but both teams finished with six SOGs.

Chiara Zaccagnino paced Point with three shots and two SOGs, while Hannah Depp posted two SOGs on both her shot attempts. Kelly Rowland spent the most time in the net and came away with four saves. Khlari South surrendered a goal in her brief spell in the net.
