MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Talladega College dropped its men's basketball Southern States Athletic Conference opener Thursday, falling at No. 9 Faulkner University, 85-57.
Dega opened with a 5-0 lead, but Faulkner quickly evened the score. The Tornadoes held their lead through the first eight minutes, but Trace Hill scored to give Faulkner its first lead, 12-11. The basket sparked a 19-7 run that saw Dega fall behind by 11 points. it was 48-27 Faulkner at the half.
Talladega (3-2, 0-1 SSAC) will host Stillman College (2-3, 0-1 SSAC) on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 1 p.m. in Hawkins Student Activity Center.
